galerie mougin

is situated in the heart of the Carré Rive Gauche, between Saint Germain des Prés and the Invalides.

Run by Gladys Mougin, the Galerie presents artists exploring various fields: furniture, jewellery, decorative elements like bas-relief, lacquerware, enamel…

The artistic orientation is willingly eclectic; the pieces are chosen for their quality and original features; they are all part of timeless artistic creations.GALERIE MOUGIN PARIS RIVE GAUCHE

Some exceptional exhibitions invite several artists with complementary talents:

Sculptures and jewels by Sylvie Gilbert (1991)

"Friend's portraits": paintings on wood by Nicole Pibeaut (1992)

Minaudières bags by Renaud Pellegrino decorated by painters, sculptors, plastic artists like Philippe Pasqua, Yann Paolozzi, Ida von Zigethy and Philippe Ferrandis (2001) Anabelle d'Huart's jewels staged by Philippe Renaud (2001)

The Farfelus Farfadets occasionally brighten the Galeries' walls with their papier mâché's creations.

During several years, the Galerie Mougin showed unique pieces or small series by Tom Dixon, Christian Astuguevielle and Roland Meillan. Since the beginning of the 90's, Laurence Montano and André Dubreuil have layed their creations on the emblematic tile floor of the Galerie. They both work with prestigious institutions and several french, british and american museums have yielded to the temptation. A carpet has been made at the Gobelins Manufacture, following a sketch by André Dubreuil. The Mobilier National owns several pieces of furniture by Laurence Montano (gueridons, consoles, lamps).

Over the years, several artists have joined the Galerie: Michael Pohu, Alasdair Cooke, Véronique Rivemale, Les Farfelus Farfadets and Thierry Leproust.
